System dynamics modeller
Dr Currie is a system dynamics modeller at the Sax Institute. With a background in environmental management and public health, her current work focuses on creating user-friendly dynamic simulation models to help decision makers gain insight on the systemic drivers of the complex public and environmental health problems they routinely encounter.
Her research interests have included exploring population-level approaches to preventing and controlling waterborne disease outbreaks, building systems capacity through participatory model building, and improving the integration of evidence into environmental health decision-making processes.
Dr Currie holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Queensland.
