Compelling Case for Prevention: preview of the GoHealth model

The Prevention Centre's interdisciplinary research team has developed a dynamic simulation model to demonstrate the value of reducing risks for chronic health conditions. In this 1.5hr webinar, the modelling team presented the overall model structure and scenarios to show how policy stakeholders can potentially interact with the model.

At time of recording, the model was almost complete and the team was keen to re-engage with policy partners to demonstrate the model’s capabilities before finalising it in 2021.

In this webinar, the modelling team demonstrated the risk factors, diseases and resultant preventable burden outcomes the model calculates. This interactive session was held specifically for the Prevention Centre’s policy partners.

Further sessions in 2022 showcased the completed model to a wider audience. Recordings are available below.
