World Day for Physical Activity is on April 6, so let’s get physical

TYPE Prevention Centre News

Promoting physical activity as a key prevention tool for chronic disease underpins many of our research projects. Working with leading researchers and policy makers to support innovation in prevention, our collaborations have produced dozens of resources.

Getting Australia Active is one of our key resources to build greater understanding and capacity among government policy makers to employ a whole-of-systems approach to increase physical activity in Australia.

Physical inactivity is the Cinderella of risk factors for chronic disease because it lives everywhere but no one takes responsibility.
