The Prevention Centre is excited to welcome news that the Healthy Environments And Lives (HEAL) Network, led by Professor Sotiris Vardoulakis from ANU, has been awarded $10 million through NHMRC’s Special Initiative in Human Health and Environmental Change.
The multidisciplinary national research network will contribute to Australia’s preparedness and responsiveness to human health threats from changing environmental conditions and extreme weather events. We are delighted to note that several Prevention Centre researchers are involved in this initiative including Professor Lucie Rychetnik, Dr Elly Howse, Professor Rebecca Ivers, Jaithri Ananthapavan, Dr Lucy Gunn, Professor Sandra Eades, Carmel Williams, Professor Alan Cass AO and Professor Tony Blakely.
