Event Series Research Seminar

Location Online

This webinar presents the key findings from a series of studies that were conducted across three states to understand and inform improvements to preventive health care as part of routine antenatal care. The studies focused on antenatal care concerning smoking, alcohol consumption, gestational weight gain, healthy diet and physical activity.

The projects, undertaken in collaboration with maternity service and policy partners in New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania, included the development of localised guideline recommendations for preventive care, assessment of current care practices along with barriers and enablers to care, and development and pilot testing of implementation strategies to improve care.

Following the presentation of study findings, a panel of policy, practice and research partners share their perspectives of the benefits and challenges of working on these collaborative projects.
