Nadia Mastersson was appointed as Head, Prevention, in November 2023 to lead the next generation of the Prevention Centre. Nadia chairs the Prevention Centre’s Scientific Advisory Committee and is a member of the Collaboration for Enhanced Research Impact (CERI) Steering Committee.
Nadia has over 25 years’ experience working across the prevention landscape through policy and legislation, program delivery, social marketing, research, health service strategy and system change. Her work has focused on the power of collaborative partnerships to improve health in a wide range of areas including childhood obesity, workplace health and wellbeing, Aboriginal health, and environments supporting nutrition and physical activity.
She was previously Director, Partnerships, with the Government of South Australia’s Commission of Excellence and Innovation in Health. Other senior leadership positions have included roles in Wellbeing SA and the South Australian Department of Health and Wellbeing.
Nadia has a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as postgraduate qualifications in business, health and research, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
