Senior Publications Officer
Please describe your role: As Senior Publishing Officer, my role is to produce high-quality resources that communicate the findings of Prevention Centre’s research projects for our key audiences. This includes developing innovative approaches, such as infographics, to communicate research findings to maximise impact on policy and practice.
The most challenging part is … trying not to eat chocolate when under deadline.
I’m interested in the work of the Prevention Centre because … my role feeds my fascination for information design and the need to find innovative approaches to communicating complex information.
Before my current position, my most memorable role was …working as Content Manager at the National Health Performance Authority, managing the complex communications projects in a start-up environment and working with diverse teams to translate complex findings into new and creative formats.
When I’m not working, I most enjoy … reading, reading and more reading.
Right now I want to … be able to stand up on a surfboard. I had lessons this summer but it is going to be a long-term project!
I would most like to live … Roma, Italy – clichéd but true.
My motto is … giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. For me it works best with strangers and least with teenagers!
