Professor Sarah Durkin
Research Fellow
Professor Durkin is a Principal Research Fellow at the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer at Cancer Council Victoria, and an Honorary Professorial Fellow in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences at University of Melbourne. Over two decades, Professor Durkin has established a research program which has been instrumental in shaping tobacco control and other cancer prevention campaigns in Australia and internationally. Her research is highly applied and has generated critical evidence that has guided public health organisations to design, broadcast, and evaluate tobacco control campaigns in the most efficient and effective manner. She currently serves as Senior Editor for the BMJ’s specialist international journal Tobacco Control.
