Dr Melissa Hobbs has finished working with the Prevention Centre.
Dr Hobbs has more than 20 years’ experience working in the health sector, in particular women’s health research and population health. Prior to her Research Fellow position with The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre, she managed Population Health Planning at Capital Health Network, the ACT’s Primary Health Network.
Dr Hobbs is passionate about addressing the social determinants of health and understanding the major impact that they have on health outcomes, particularly for the most vulnerable populations.
Her educational background includes a Master of Public Health from the University of NSW and a PhD from La Trobe University. Both the Masters and PhD projects focused on women’s health.
