Food futures: Nourishing a nation

Australia is one of the most food-secure countries in the world and our food exports are a significant part of our economy. But our population is growing, the climate is altering what we can grow and where, and supply chains are being disrupted by global conflicts and pandemics.

How will a carbon-neutral world affect our agricultural export trade, Australian farmers, scientists and consumers? And how do we strike a balance between the production of healthier foods with lower environmental impact, without compromising the profitability of the agriculture and food sectors?

The symposium will be held as part of the World Science Festival in Brisbane.
