Communicating research effectively to decision makers in public health policy and practice is important to maximise the impact of research in the real world. However, in the busyness of doing research, science communication is easily neglected.
The next EPOCH-Connect community of practice meeting will discuss how early and mid-career researchers can improve their science communication skills.
Dr Konsita Kuswara will share her experience on developing communication tools as the Knowledge Translation Coordinator and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CRE EPOCH-Translate. Her current research focuses on opportunities and strategies to translate evidence-based interventions to promote health behaviours in early childhood into the real world. She is also a member of the Prevention Centre’s Communication Community of Practice.
