Global impact to local action – top 5 lessons from driving systems change

This #PreventionWorksLIVE masterclass features one of Australia’s leading change-makers in chronic disease prevention, Dr Sandro Demaio, CEO of VicHealth, on his insights and top lessons on what it takes to create real and lasting systems change for public health.

Dr Sandro Demaio is a doctor and globally renowned public health advocate who has led multiple global and local movements including co-founding NCDFREE, a global social movement against chronic disease that reached more than 2.5 million people in the first 18 months. In 2019, he led the EAT-Lancet Commission on healthy diets from sustainable food systems that received huge global attention from research, public and private sectors. Now as the CEO of VicHealth he is leading a team focused on collaborative action for the health and well-being of Victorians.
