Professor Nilmini Wickramasinghe has more than 25 years of experience researching and teaching within the health informatics domain in both the US and Australia.
Nilmini is the Professor and Optus Chair of Digital Health at the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at La Trobe University and was the inaugural Professor – Director Health Informatics Management at Epworth HealthCare. She also holds/has held honorary research professor at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Northern Health and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic Orthopaedic Research Group, Harbin Institute of Technology and DHBW. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt award for outstanding contribution to digital health.
