Professor Penny Hawe

Lead Investigator, Leadership Executive

Professor Hawe has recently returned to Australia after being the Markin Chair in Health and Society at the University of Calgary, Canada, and founding director of the Population Health Intervention Research Centre.

Her main interest is the theory, methods, ethics and economics of complex system-level interventions in population health.

Professor Hawe is Professor of Public Health at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy at the University of Sydney and a member of the Prevention Centre’s Leadership Executive.
