Dr Patrick Harris has finished working with the Prevention Centre.
Dr Patrick Harris is a public health social scientist focussed on healthy public policy. His work crosses sectors and disciplines while retaining a core focus on health and equity. His research is pioneering the connections between health, political science and critical theory, and he has particular interest in institutions and power.
His research includes urban and regional planning systems, infrastructure planning and appraisal, and impact assessment. He is the founding co-editor-in-chief of the new Oxford University Press flagship open access journal Infrastructure and Health. Dr Harris has successfully delivered $7 million research and consultancy projects in Australia and internationally. He has written 120 publications including 75 journal articles. His book, Illuminating policy for health, has recently been published by Palgrave.
