Dr Melanie Pescud
Senior Research Fellow
Dr Pescud is an Evaluation Adviser in the National Indigenous Australians Agency and Senior Research Fellow at the School of Allied Health at the University of Western Australia. From 2019-2022 she was senior research fellow with the Australian National University and the Prevention Centre while co-leading a project exploring systems case studies.
Across her career, she has held roles across academia, government, and the not for profit sector including at the ANU, Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education, and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Her research has focused on areas including systems thinking for addressing complexity in chronic disease prevention, arts and health, workplace health promotion, child obesity prevention, Indigenous health, mental health, alcohol policy, and nutrition literacy.
