Dr Mary Njeri Wanjau’s research interest is in health and economic impact assessment of preventive health strategies. She is currently involved in multiple ongoing epidemiological modelling projects within the Public Health & Economics Modelling Group in School of Medicine and Dentistry, Griffith University. This Group is spearheading Public Health research in Economics of prevention at Griffith University. In her PhD study Mary is conducting a stakeholder engaged modelling study. She has estimated the magnitude of the avoidable disease burden related to obesity in Kenya and has proceeded to assess the health and economic impact and cost-effectiveness of interventions for the prevention of overweight and obesity in Kenya.
