Karen Metcalfe

Karen Metcalfe is the Engagement Coordinator for the Prevention Centre. A key part of Karen’s role is to support the implementation and delivery of the Emerging Leaders Network capacity building strategy. She is also responsible for the overall stakeholder engagement and events coordination for the Prevention Centre, and providing logistics and technical support for online, in-person and hybrid events.

She has previously worked as the Events Coordinator for the Sax Institute, notably organising three Research Actions Awards events and also for more than 16 years at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office, as the Marketing Coordinator.

Karen is a member of the Collaboration for Enhanced Research Impact (CERI) Science Communications Community of Practice.
