Dr Shaan Naughton
Research Fellow
Dr Shaan Naughton is a Research Fellow in the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition at Deakin University, where she manages and performs research within the Centre of Research Excellence (CRE) in Food Retail Environments for Health (RE-FRESH). Prior to completing a PhD in nutritional biochemistry, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition, with honours in Biochemistry) and Master of Dietetics.
Through her research, Shaan aims to combine her previous training in commercial cookery and her public health nutrition skills to create innovative solutions to improve the health of retail food environments. An additional area of focus is the dissemination and translation of knowledge to meet the specific needs of policy and practice partners.
Shaan is a member of the Collaboration for Enhanced Research Impact (CERI) Coordinating Group and Communications Community of Practice.
