Senior Research Officer
Dr Heidi Turon has finished working with the Prevention Centre.
Dr Turon is a Senior Research Officer with the Health Behaviour Research Group at the University of Newcastle. She has a PhD in cognitive psychology.
Since joining the Health Behaviour Research Group, she has been responsible for managing several multi-site studies investigating psychosocial wellbeing in medical oncology and haematological oncology patients, as well as conducting a cluster RCT aimed at improving organ donation registration rates among TAFE students.
In her current role with a Prevention Centre project at the University of Newcastle, Dr Turon is working on assessing the barriers and facilitators to the evaluation of complex primary prevention interventions.
