Afshin Jafari is an engineer and computer scientist. After beginning as a PhD student in 2018, Afshin is now a Research Fellow within the Healthy Liveable Cities Lab. His research focuses on agent and activity-based modelling with a particular focus on mobility modelling and cycling. Afshin is currently a collaborator of an NHMRC-UKRI funded project called Joining Impact models of transport to the Built Environment: JIBE where he is extending his PhD work and is building an integrated model for evaluating 20-minute neighbourhoods.
Afshin was as recipient of the Prevention Centre’s 2022 seeding grants program for research development.
