Professor Rebecca Ivers is the Head of the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, UNSW Sydney, Honorary Professorial Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health, and an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow. Her research on young drivers has influenced Australian government legislation on graduated driver licensing.
Rebecca also leads a program of work on the prevention and care of injury in Aboriginal people around Australia to try and understand the challenges and needs around road safety, injury and trauma care and to find ways to effect change.
In 2014, Rebecca was named in the Australian Financial Review and Westpac list of Australia’s Top 100 Women of Influence.
