Professor Veerman is a Dutch-trained public health physician with passion for healthy physical, economic, social and natural environments. He has authored more than100 peer-reviewed papers on a range of topics in public health.
He has a strong background in epidemiological modelling, burden of disease studies, non-communicable disease control, health impact assessment and the cost-effectiveness of prevention.
