Dr Yandisa Ngqangashe is a Research Fellow in food regulation and governance for population nutrition at the Reg-Net School of Regulation and Global Governance, Australian National University. Before joining Reg-Net she worked in media and communication sciences, studying the effects of food media consumption on adolescent food literacy.

Yandisa’s current research focuses on regulatory and governance processes of food environment policies, for example food marketing, food taxes, food composition and food labelling, and the implications for policy. She is also examining governance processes that contribute to the availability and overconsumption of ultra-processed foods in the Asia Pacific aiming to improve governance around population nutrition.
