Professor Kathryn Backholer is a National Heart Foundation Future Leader Research Fellow and Co-Director of the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE) at Deakin University.
Kathyrn’s research interests are in the area of obesity epidemiology and public health and food policy, with a particular focus on the implications for health equity. She was the recipient of an Australian Institute of Policy and Science Tall Poppy award in 2018 and received the Australia and New Zealand Obesity Society Young Investigator Award in 2014.
