Dr Abby Haynes
Dr Haynes is an experienced qualitative researcher whose work focuses on understanding how personal, disciplinary and contextual forces shape interventions in health policy and practice. Her interests include co-production, knowledge mobilisation, systems thinking, process evaluation, implementation science, realist methods and putting theory to good use.
With a background in social work, community services and mental health, Dr Haynes has worked in federal and state government agencies and not-for-profit organisations in the UK and Australia. She was a Diversity Health Coordinator at the Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospitals. Since focusing on research, Abby has held roles at the University of Sydney (School of Public Health and the Menzies Centre for Health Policy) and the Sax Institute. She sits on the Human Research Ethics Committee for Family Planning NSW and is an associate editor at Health Research Policy and Systems.
