Deanna is the Senior Research Officer on the Study of Environment on Aboriginal Resilience and Child Health (SEARCH), a large cohort study of urban Aboriginal children living in NSW. Her key area of focus is qualitative research.

She holds a Bachelor of International studies (Hons), a Master of Arts (Social Sciences Research) and a Master of Public Health. Originally from Adelaide, Deanna previously worked in the university sector in program management, ethics and compliance.

She has been at the Sax Institute in Sydney for more than five years, initially supporting research on determinants of effective clinical networks, and more recently with the SEARCH team where she has been worked in Aboriginal health research for the past three years.
