New Prevention Centre Rapid Response Research Grants Program

The Prevention Centre is excited to announce a new grants program to progress applied research into the prevention of chronic disease. Grants will be awarded for up to $100,000 per grant with a total of $400,000 available.
These grants aim to support mid-career researchers affiliated with our network. Research proposals must build on or broaden a current or prior Prevention Centre project and address at least one of the following priority areas:
- Equity in prevention, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing
- Demonstrating the value of prevention, including measuring, evaluating and costing the co-benefits of prevention with health, social, economic and environmental outcomes
- Prevention funding, governance, and health system reform
- Strengthening prevention systems including policy, regulation and public health law, or working across sectors such as food, transport, urban planning, housing, education and digital
- Implementation science for enhanced impact in prevention, including adaptation, scaling up or evaluating services as learning organisations
- Prevention for improved mental health and wellbeing or for maternity and child health (also referred to as the first 2,000 days).
Applications close AEST 12 noon on Monday 1 August 2022.
