Our seed funding supports early to mid-career chronic disease prevention researchers, practitioners and policy makers to pursue prevention research and other research translation or capability development activities that would otherwise go unfunded.

The 2022 grants program is designed to encourage innovative ideas that build on existing chronic disease prevention research, while also building capability of the prevention workforce.

We are offering funds under two categories to develop skills and capability in the next generation of leaders to improve policy and practice and systems-based approaches for the prevention of chronic disease:

  • Capability building and knowledge translation
    Ten grants up to $3,000
  • Research development building on and/or expanding an existing Prevention Centre project
    Four grants up to $15,000

Applications close at 5:00 pm Friday 8 July 2022. Read more information on eligibility and how to apply.
