PreventionWorks LIVE

Announcing new series of events and podcasts from the Prevention Centre

Stories from Australia’s change-makers in public health

PreventionWorks LIVE is a masterclass series from leading innovators on creating a healthier Australia. The series, hosted by The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre, examines how change-makers have achieved real impact for the health and wellbeing of communities.

The Prevention Centre is the leading national collaboration of researchers, policy makers and practitioners working to identify new ways of understanding how to prevent chronic lifestyle-related chronic disease.

PreventionWorks LIVE is our new series of masterclasses from Australia’s prevention change-agents examining how they have made real impact on the prevention of chronic disease.

Our change-makers will share the many different ways they’ve applied to their projects the tools of systems thinking, co-production, co-benefits and working intersectorally and cross-jurisdictionally to gain the maximum impact and cut-through to real-world change.

They also explore the importance of effecting impactful change by working with sectors and portfolios outside health and medical research, including transport and roads, planning and urban spaces, and education and early childhood.

These ‘masters’ talk us through some of their most impactful work from inception to establishment and development, and share exclusive insights into what they did, how they did it, and why they did it, and what the impacts were during and at the end.

The masterclass will be followed by a Q&A session giving an opportunity for real and effective learning. All PreventionWorks LIVE events will be podcasted and added to our Prevention Works stable of key thinkers in chronic disease prevention.

PreventionWorks LIVE kicks off in March 2021 with a monthly program of Australia’s leading change-makers in the prevention of chronic disease.
