Learning and Development Manager
The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre (TAPPC) is a $22.6 million initiative funded over five years to transform the way research is conducted and used in preventing chronic disease.
It is a collaboration involving many of Australia’s internationally leading experts in prevention, with 31 investigators from five states and territories and more than 20 universities, and government, non-government and private sector agencies. The objectives of the Centre are to strengthen the research base for prevention, synthesise evidence and make readily available what is known, and help activate an effective and efficient prevention system across Australia. The Centre’s work is co-produced by academic researchers, health system practitioners and policy makers from across Australia. There is a strong focus on capacity building and knowledge to action.
The Centre is based at the Sax Institute, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that improves the health and health services of Australians by enabling the use of research in policymaking.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, we are seeking a Learning and Development Manager to lead our capacity building strategies and to link and facilitate the learning and knowledge to action across the Centre.
The initial appointment will be for two years on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) with the possibility of extension.
