In the last three years, deliberative researchers and practitioners have been asking whether online deliberation can generate the same kinds of processes and outcomes as face to face deliberative democratic events.
Join Professor Burgess for his reflections on the implications of the transition to online deliberation. Based on his extensive experience with online projects in the last three years, he will ask whether online public deliberations can provide civic minded input to policy making.
