The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Research Translation Long Weekend 2022 will be a hybrid event held in collaboration with the Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA), the Sax Forum, and the Australian Living Evidence Consortium (ALEC)/ Cochrane Australia.
The theme this year is ‘Embracing Diversity’, and the intention is to encourage the translation of research that improves equity and respects the health and healthcare decision making needs of people of different cultures, ethnic groups, socio-economic groups, abilities or ages.
There will be 8 plenary sessions livestreamed over the four days of the Symposium. Topics include:
- Mobilising knowledge to improve equity in health outcomes
- An equitable start to life: getting best practice into mother, infant and family care
- Transforming how research is generated, valued and used
- Open science, research translation, equity, and diversity.
