Bringing together leading experts, researchers, and policy makers from diverse fields to discuss and address the challenges posed by youth substance use.
The National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research (NCYSUR) is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of young people by increasing Australia’s and other countries’ capacity to respond effectively to the harm associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.
Keynote speakers will include:
- Professor Wayne Hall – Is adolescent cannabis use a gateway to other drugs?
- Dr. Emily Stockings – Addressing the vaping ‘epidemic’ among young people
- Professor John Saunders – When videogaming changes from fun to compulsion
A number of presentations from emerging research leaders will also address national and international research priorities in youth.
