This forum is presented by the Healthy Environments and Lives (HEAL) Network, Macquarie University, CSIRO, National Environmental Science Program and Asthma Australia, and will be facilitated by human rights and social justice advocate Professor Tom Calma AO.

It welcomes community members, service providers and researchers involved in projects across a broad range of topics, such as:

  • indoor/outdoor air quality
  • smoke, dust or mould particulates
  • risk reduction
  • communication methods for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

By mapping project work holistically, it aims to identify any knowledge gaps, create a roadmap for future community-research partnerships and to strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research capacity in air quality and health science.

The hope is that networks made at the forum will be sustained for future collaborative research. A summary paper will be produced as an outcome from the day.

In preparation for the forum, the organisers are trying to map all of the amazing work in this domain. If you would like your work included, they encourage you to add your information during the registration process.
