This is a continuiation of workshop 1 on 13 April. Registration for this event is now full.

These workshops will introduce you to the concepts and tools of systems thinking and through interactive group activities, you will learn to apply systems thinking to the planning, implementation, and resourcing of healthy food retail interventions and policies. Participants will also have the opportunity to provide input into the development of a practical, systems-based tool aimed at supporting health promotion practitioners in creating healthy food retail environments in health services, sports and recreation settings, and local government settings. Workshop 2 will build upon skills developed in the first workshop and participation in both is highly recommended to get the most out of this learning experience.

These workshops are designed for:

  • Health promotion practitioners, project officers, and health promotion managers interested in, or with experience of, implementing healthy food retail policies
  • Staff located at hospitals, health services, sports and recreation organisations, and local government who are involved, or will be involved in, the design, implementation or evaluation of healthy food or drink retail initiatives
  • Participants from all states and territories are welcome.
