Maria Gomez

Ms Gomez, a Research Officer with the Prevention Centre, has a Master of Public Health and more than 15 years of public health research experience gained through positions at the University of Sydney and the University of NSW.

Most recently she worked at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre on a number of projects including project co-ordination of a study investigating the impact of parental substance use on children and families, and a project to develop a planning tool for Aboriginal drug and alcohol treatment.

Ms Gomez previously worked as a research officer at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy in a range of research areas, including synthesising the evidence for policy for the prevention of chronic diseases.
